The kit includes decals for U2540, commissioned on February 24, 1945, which was scuttled by its crew in the Flensburg Fjord on May 4, 1945. Later, in 1957, the boat served the Federal Navy as the test submarine Wilhelm Bauer, and today it can be visited as a museum vessel.
