Now, this aviation classic returns to the skies in a modern, expertly scaled RC model: the E-flite Beechcraft D18/RC-45J 1.5m.

Skill Level 3 – Experience Required
Skill Level 3 aircraft, like this one, are suitable for more experienced RC pilots who already have the skills to assemble, set up, and fly similar class models. This PNP version requires more experience and skills to assemble and fly than the BNF Basic version because you will need to install a receiver that does not already include properly tuned AS3X+ and SAFE Select technologies. You should have the experience and skills necessary to assemble and successfully fly models like the E-flite T-28 Trojan 1.1m, Valiant 1.3m, Commander mPd 1.4m, Turbo Timber Evolution 1.5m, or other similar class models before attempting to fly the Beechcraft D18/RC-45J 1.5m PNP version.
Plug-N-Play® Completion Level
The Plug-N-Play (PNP) version comes out of the box with a factory-installed power system and servos, ready to connect to a compatible receiver of your choice (sold separately), along with the transmitter and battery you provide (also sold separately). Simply install the receiver, finish any final assembly, and fly!
Smart Technology
The D18/RC-45J 1.5m is equipped with an exclusive Spektrum Avian Dual Smart Lite ESC that can provide a variety of real-time power system related telemetry data including overall battery voltage and more – with Smart and non-Smart batteries – via compatible receivers (including the AR631+ installed in the BNF Basic version) and Spektrum AirWare equipped transmitters (including the DX6e and 8e, DX6 G2/3 and 8 G2, the DX9, NX6 to 20, iX12 to 20 and others) while you fly. Additionally, factory-programmed differential thrust provides improved ground handling for easier taxiing, takeoffs, and landings, as well as the ability to perform specialized aerobatic maneuvers.

The factory-assembled airframe is equipped with an abundance of scale detail, including molded-in panel lines and hatches, antennas, exhaust stacks, a pilot figure, and more. The factory-installed twin brushless power system features a Spektrum Avian Dual 40-amp Smart Lite ESC plus specially-tuned motors with counter-rotating props that deliver an abundance of thrust with a 3S LiPo battery, or more speed and unlimited vertical performance with a 4S battery – without the need for any modifications or upgrades. The large battery compartment accommodates batteries ranging from 3200 to 5000mAh, including two 2200mAh batteries connected in parallel, to deliver a wide range of performance and flight times.
