OMP Hobby - Decathlon 1400mm ARF Kit
The OMP Hobby Decathlon is a semi-scale sport aerobatic aircraft with a 1,400 mm wingspan, designed for pilots who appreciate the precision of a balsa-built model. Whether you're looking for a relaxed Sunday flyer or an aircraft capable of prop hanging and light 3D maneuvers, this model adapts perfectly to your flying style.

Power System & Electronics:
The fuselage is prepped for a 500-600W brushless motor with a radial mount, making it an ideal match for:
- KAVAN C3542-1000, KAVAN PRO 3542-950, or Model Motors AXI 2820/12
- 40-60A ESC with SBEC
- 3S LiPo (30C 2,200-3,000 mAh) for smooth aerobatics and scale flying
- 4S LiPo (40C 2,200 mAh) with a 12x5-6” prop for enhanced 3D performance
To get the most out of your Decathlon, a 4-channel (minimum) RC system is required. A 6-channel transmitter is recommended for independent aileron control and advanced mixing options. This model requires four strong 12-13g metal gear micro servos:
- For general flying: KAVAN GO-13MG
- For 3D performance: KAVAN GO-1013MG digital servos
