OMP Hobby - Bighorn Pro 49" (1250mm) ARF Kit
The Bighorn Pro is a high-performance high-wing aerobatic/STOL aircraft, designed for pilots who appreciate the precision of a balsa-built model over foam alternatives. With a 1,250 mm wingspan, large control surfaces, and functional flaps, this aircraft delivers outstanding 3D aerobatic and short takeoff & landing (STOL) capabilities.

Power System & Electronics:
The fuselage is prepped for a 500-600W brushless motor with a radial mount. Ideal choices include:
- KAVAN C3542-1000, KAVAN PRO 3542-1150, or Model Motors AXI 2820/12
- 40-60A ESC with SBEC
- 3S LiPo (30C 2,200-3,000 mAh) – or 40C for 3D flying
To fully exploit its aerobatic potential, a 6-channel (minimum) RC system is required, though a 7-channel or higher transmitter is recommended for independent flap and aileron mixing. The model calls for six strong 17g metal gear micro servos:
- For general flying: KAVAN GO-17MG or Hitec HS-85MG
- For aggressive 3D maneuvers: KAVAN GO-1020MG digital servos+
