Giles 202 – A New Era in Model Aircraft Design
The Giles 202 marks the beginning of the FlexFoam Series, introducing a revolutionary approach to materials and construction in model aircraft design. At first glance, FlexFoam may resemble Depron, but its performance is on another level — it’s remarkably tougher, more durable, and offers a premium finish. The smooth surface allows for deeper, more vibrant printing compared to traditional EPP, though it comes with a modest weight increase of about 20%.
This model feels exceptionally solid and well-built in the hand. However, unlike standard EPP kits, assembly requires a bit more skill, making it better suited for intermediate to advanced builders. For the main structure, we strongly recommend using UHU Por, which bonds perfectly with the smooth FlexFoam surface — much better than CA glue. Carbon reinforcements, on the other hand, should be attached with CA glue to achieve maximum rigidity.
Constructed entirely from 3mm FlexFoam and reinforced with carbon spars, the Giles 202 features signature swept wings that deliver outstanding stability and precision, even in windy conditions. Despite its stability, it remains incredibly agile and responsive — the perfect balance for demanding aerobatic pilots.
Whether you’re chasing precision in your flight lines or simply want a model that stands out in both looks and performance, the Giles 202 is a true game-changer.
