The dimensions of the WingFix model stand are approx. 100 x 44 x 19 cm (LxWxH) without ears. The ears can be rotated so that the full support can be used. If the ears are vertical, the clearance is approx. 40 cm. On a keyboard stand, the working height is 75 cm.
The WingFix ULTRA is the largest version of the WingFix model stand and is suitable for large jets. The significantly lower working height results in better accessibility to the model with larger fuselages and optimal stability in conjunction with the keyboard stand.
All experience from previous products was incorporated into the design of the WingFix. In conjunction with a keyboard stand (28 - 30 mm tube diameter), it becomes a convenient assembly aid on the airfield.
In order to achieve the widest possible range of applications, the adjustable ears that hold the model can be adjusted over a wide range from 10 mm to 40 cm. Elongated holes are provided for this purpose. Threaded inserts are screwed into the adjustable ears. To fix the ears, they are clamped with ergonomically shaped wing screws with plastic handles.
The two central clamping screws and the clamping strips provide a durable connection between the WingFix and the keyboard stand. After loosening the screws in the connecting part, the WingFix can be easily assembled or disassembled.
The WingFix is also suitable for the safe transport of larger fuselages in the car and as a model stand for handicraft work on the workbench at home.
To further increase the possible uses, mounts for additional shelves, transport handles, small feet, additional fixing options and cup holders are already provided.
To ensure the widest possible range of uses, the following options are integrated:
- Continuous height adjustment ideal for scale gliders and other models with a narrow tail
- Wing holder for secure hold of smaller models in windy conditions and as an assembly aid when assembling wings
- Storage for small parts and tools including magnetic holder
- Central clamping enables a stable connection to the keyboard stand and easy assembly and disassembly.
- Narrow middle section to provide enough space for the chassis of motor models
- Hooks for storing handheld transmitters
The wooden parts are CNC milled from high-quality and stable 15 mm birch multiplex. The plug-in system makes the model building stand even more stable and easy to assemble.
The wooden parts are glued to the support points with 3 mm self-adhesive rubber so that the model is held securely and not damaged.
In the Black Edition, the wood is also coated with a 240 g/m² thick phenolic resin coating, which makes the model stand particularly robust.
